Description:
The position is for a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse specializing in an adolescent female unit. Candidates must have experience in crisis stabilization and medication management. Responsibilities include participating in group therapeutic activities. Groups are run by nursing staff, mental health workers, and occupational therapists. The unit consists of 22 beds designated for adolescents. Patient diagnoses may include PTSD, suicidal ideation/self-harm, ODD, MDD, and generalized anxiety.
Daily census is approximately 20 patients. All staff will provide interdisciplinary support, including phlebotomy and pharmacy assistance. Candidates will be expected to work every other weekend. Additional requirements include the completion of fingerprinting prior to the start date. Former permanent employees must wait a full year before applying for this travel position. Drug screening is mandatory and strict adherence to passing is enforced.
