American Traveler is seeking an RN-Cath Lab to scrub cardiac catheterization and interventional cases independently, requiring recent scrub experience and an active MD or Compact RN license.

• Work in a Cath Lab unit with 2 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid OR
• Position fills a cath lab tech scrub role, not monitoring or circulating duties
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Performs procedures including IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, Structural, PFO, TAVR, Mitra Clip, and Watchman
• Uses GE Innova IGS, Philips, GE Mac Lab, IVUS, and FFR equipment
• Charts in Epic and GE Healthcare systems
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, rotating days as needed Monday-Friday
• On-call required up to 13 weekdays, 5pm-6am Monday-Thursday
• Weekend coverage required, inclusive of on-call Friday 5pm through Monday 6am, 3 weekends per contract
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled, inclusive of on-call coverage
• Floating required within scope with no restrictions

• Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• ARRT-R and/or RCIS required, RCIS preferred
• CPI certification required
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• Recent experience of at least 6-12 months scrubbing cath lab cases independently required
• Strong ability to independently scrub interventional and structural cardiac cases
• Community hospital experience preferred
• GE Healthcare charting system experience required
• Skilled in sterile technique, vascular closure systems (Perclose, Star Close), EKG lead placement, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
• 3D imaging and PACS experience preferred

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, access site prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Maintains and stocks cath lab equipment and supplies
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced local travel rate
• Travelers must be comfortable floating within scope with priority given to floating duties
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Maximum RTO request is 7 days, with additional week added to back end of contract if more than 4 consecutive days are requested
• Return travelers must be away from the health system for at least 6 months before returning
• Former staff must be separated from the health system for 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Compliance labs must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
