American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2+ years of recent Cath Lab/interventional scrubbing experience and an active MD or Compact RN license.

• Work in a Cath Lab unit featuring 2 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid OR
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 06:30-17:00, rotating days Mon-Fri as needed
• On-call required up to 13 weekdays as needed, 5pm-6am Mon-Thu
• Weekend coverage required (3 weekends per contract), inclusive of on-call Friday 5pm through Monday 6am
• Holiday coverage required, inclusive of on-call coverage as scheduled
• Performs procedures including IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, Structural, PFO, TAVR, Mitra Clip, and Watchman
• Uses equipment including GE Innova IGS, Phillips, GE Mac Lab, IVUS, and FFR
• EMR:
  Epic (preferred experience)
• Floating required within scope with no restrictions
• Block scheduling and special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

• Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• CPI certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/interventional scrubbing experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in ACT monitoring, cardioversion, circulating procedures, EKG/ECG interpretation, sheath removal/monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, Star Close) preferred
• Experience with topical hemostasis agents (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch) preferred
• Experience with hypothermia protocol preferred
• Knowledge of radiation and laser safety, infection prevention, and isolation precautions/PPE required
• Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, including left and right heart catheterization and PCI
• Experience with IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion preferred
• Experience with TAVR and TEE preferred
• Experience with Watchman and LAA closure procedures preferred
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs preferred

• Work in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings, including a Hybrid OR
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced local travel rate
• Candidates residing under 50 miles from the facility are considered local unless otherwise accepted
• Returning staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 12 months before returning as a travamler
• Returning travelers must have been away from the system for at least 6 months after completing an assignment
• Most locations allow one contract extension, followed by a required 6-month break before returning to the same facility or unit
• Compliance lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• Compliance documentation deadline is 5 days prior to start
• Travelers are expected to float within scope with no restrictions, and are prioritized for floating assignments
