Food Service Worker

Providing leadership in the organization’s dining facility as a Food Service Worker, assisting with food prep, set up, service, meal delivery, and cleanup.

• Provide senior-level leadership in addition to assigned Food Service Worker responsibilities of assisting with food preparations, set up, service, delivery of meals, and cleanup for the organization’s dining facility.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff and support opening and closing procedures in the absence of Food Service Manager.

• Work requires the ability to read, write, and speak English, follow oral and written instructions, count, and use direct reading devices where interpretation is not required.
• 1+ years of food service experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated reliability, ability to train and lead others, basic knowledge of food service practices and procedures (portion control, short order cooking, sanitation), and knowledge of equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to frequently train and orient new staff and provide service to patients, staff, visitors, and guests with ordinary courtesy.
• Depending on assignment, work may require a valid driver’s license and compliance with Sheppard Pratt requirements to operate a hospital vehicle during the appointment and employment duration.
