We are seeking a highly motivated Shift Lead to oversee store operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Base Pay Range$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Customer Experience- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members.
- Responsible for opening and closing the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups, cash handling, and preparing floor and stock room.
- Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
- Registers all sales on assigned cash register, records scanning errors, price verifications, voids, etc.
- Assists with and coaches team members on the warehouse and vendor ordering process, including backdoor access for deliveries.
- Assists manager or assistant manager with order exceptions, reverse logistics, and merchandising displays.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts and ensures compliance with the Outdate program.
- Responsible for basic department pricing, daily price changes, signage, and local regulation compliance.
- Assists with bookkeeping activities: cash report, cash counts, ledgers.
- Assists with exterior and interior maintenance, requests repairs.
- Assists with food item separation and stock rotation using FIFO method.
- Has working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assists at Pharmacy out window as requested.
- Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Maintains respectful relationships with coworkers and complies with company policies.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serves as a liaison between management and non-management team members when store management is absent.
- Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Considered for employment with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
