Program Lead – Catalyst Family

Join Catalyst Family’s early care and education center as a Program Lead. The role manages programmatic and staffing aspects, ensuring high-quality, safe, and inclusive learning environments for children and families.

Responsibilities
  • Liaison between center staff, parents, and community to promote Catalyst Family’s vision and mission.
  • Design, implement, and assess program curricula for school‑age and infant/toddler age children, aligning with developmental‑appropriate practices such as Reggio Emilia and California’s Framework.
  • Coach, mentor, and observe teachers, providing constructive feedback to elevate program quality.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and Catalyst Family’s quality tools (e.g., QRIS).
  • Lead and schedule a staff team of 2–5 educators, facilitating team meetings, performance reviews, and professional growth plans.
  • Partner with the Center Manager to support enrollment, attendance, procurement, and community partnership initiatives.
  • Advocate for equity and cultural responsiveness, organizing family advisory committees and representing the agency in school and community activities.
  • Track performance metrics, budget items, and staffing ratios, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet center goals.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED + 15 ECE units (core and administration) OR AA + 24 ECE/CD units (admin + supervision) OR BA + 12 ECE/CD units (admin + supervision).
  • Minimum 2–3 years in an early‑care/child‑development setting; at least 1 year mentoring other staff.
  • Site Supervisor Permit preferred; site permit to be obtained upon hire.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: collaborative, reflective, and able to provide constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in second languages desirable; knowledge of staffing, marketing communication, and budget tracking a plus.
  • Child Care Center Part II Orientation, Mandate Reporter training, TB test, and updated immunizations required.
  • Commitment to continuous professional learning; ability to conduct training and professional development for center staff.
