. Our client is an electrical and low‑voltage (Security Systems) contracting firm located in Tracy, CA.

• 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating
• Minimum 5 years of experience with electrical estimating software and PC proficiency
• Experience with design‑build and hard bid projects in the $50K–$2M range
• Proficient in preparing conceptual budgets for Design‑Build projects
• Ability to work with engineers and architects on Design‑Build projects
• This position is not remote and requires working in‑office in Tracy, CA.

• Carefully review all bid specifications and drawings
• Define true job costs; get project estimates as close to the final job costs as possible by examining current data and related details such as location, timeline, project schedule, and economic factors (supply chain, inflation, potential delays)
• Prepare on‑screen takeoffs and provide accurate pricing for electrical systems
• Improve analysis by activity, phase, or other project breakdown
• Produce RFIs as required
• Request supplier quotes for equipment and materials; review all supplier quotes for accuracy and compliance with specs/scope of work
• Draft proposals, carefully outlining inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications
• Follow up with clients 3‑5 days after bid submission
• Track bid win rate
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of takeoffs and bid preparation for project change order requests

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Cooperative attitude in working with managers and office personnel
• Fluency in computerized estimating software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and PDF software (Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam)
