Spanish Speaking Patient Collections Specialist

Established in 1987, Pacific Medical, Inc. distributes durable medical equipment specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, prosthetics, and orthotics. We directly serve patients, medical networks, physician clinics, and offices, advancing patient care through excellent service and technology.

We have an immediate non‑remote opportunity to join our Tracy, CA office as a Patient Collections Specialist. This full‑time role (M‑F 8:00 am‑5:00 pm) requires a bilingual Spanish speaker.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contact patients/guarantors to secure payment using an aging report with balances.
  • Call patients when credit card payments are declined.
  • Follow up on refund requests.
  • Document all calls and actions in the appropriate systems; set next work date if needed.
  • Confirm and update patient/guarantor insurance and demographics; submit/re‑submit claims as indicated.
  • Establish payment arrangements and follow up on all payment plans.
  • Document patient complaints or disputes and forward for follow‑up.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Desired qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Typing speed of 25–45 words per minute.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow‑through.

Compensation: $17.00–$19.00 per hour ($35,360–$39,520 annually). Overtime rates up to $28.50 per hour. Eligible for team and profit bonuses up to $500 per month.
