PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
Operations Management for the region
- Facility management
- Supply requisition
- Employee hiring, firing, training and record-keeping
- Preparing, writing and conducting employee performance reviews and recommending appropriate merit increases
- Participating in developing, modifying and executing company policies and procedures
- Shipping
- Receiving
- Inventory Control
Manages various business goals including, but not limited to:
- Labor Rate Goal as a percentage of sales
- Productivity Goals
- Receiving and Put-away Specification Goals
- High Velocity Bins Replenishment
- Shipping Specification Goals
- Shipping Accuracy (Shipping errors)
- Inventory Accuracy (Ghost Inventory, Cycle adjustments, etc.)
- Safety and department security
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline with a minimum of 8
-10 years of related WH management expertise or an equivalent combination of education and experience Warehouse procedures, forklift training, licensing, hazardous materials, worker’s compensation, disaster recovery, evacuation, and materials handling Worker’s compensation Minimum of 10-15 years of related operations/warehouse experience Minimum of 7-10 years of people management experience Demonstrated proficiency with shipping, receiving and inventory control processes and procedures Demonstrated business communications skills, including negotiations and presentations skills Familiarity with and ability to use Microsoft Office applications Ability to travel throughout the US (25%) Current driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Demonstrated proficiencies and skills with developing, implementing and executing policies and procedures relating to WH Operations
- Business communications, contracts management and negotiations skills
- Demonstrated skills in influencing and persuading employees at all levels on a cross-functional basis
- Demonstrated skills in managing concurrent projects within specified time frames
- Distribution/warehouse/operations expertise
- Shipping, receiving and inventory control processes and procedures
- Strategic, operational and tactical planning skills
- Project management skills
