Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Purchase all necessary parts and assist in scheduling services in a timely manner to facilitate repairs and minimize downtime; keep track of all purchase orders for budgeting and auditing purposes, and adhere to departmental budget with weekly reports to the manager.
- Keep track of orders and provide a transparent delivery process.
- Attend meetings in the absence of the manager.
- Lead organizational process by keeping the shop clean and promoting good housekeeping practices.
- Maintain an effective and accurate inventory min‑max of parts, both critical and common stock.
- Assist in the planning of maintenance activities, including printing, distributing PMs, closing out PMs in JDE system once verified by the manager, closing out red tags once verified, and archiving all work orders.
- Interface with vendors and contractors; communicate with external contacts regarding maintenance needs for parts or services.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- May assist with mold and neck tooling changes, mechanical repairs, and other duties as assigned by management.
- Reasonable overtime may be required depending on business needs.
- Monitor inventory levels of stock, supplies, and other merchandise.
- Build and manage BOM inventory, attaching any and all parts to each individual production line machine center.
- Update and manage storeroom KPIs to report weekly KPI meetings with plant management.
- Receive and store incoming products, reconciling with purchase orders.
- Count and update existing stock and adjust stock levels as needed.
- Prepare and monitor reports on inventory levels, trends, and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
- Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
- Follow all safety regulations and warehouse protocols.
- Review and understand equipment and machinery manuals to determine standard operating procedures.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies and schedules.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Maintain all regulatory PMs and be ready to review these items when auditors are onsite.
- Estimate the time and resources needed for each maintenance job.
- Track the inventory of spare parts and ensure their availability for routine and emergency maintenance.
- Inspect the workplace for potential safety hazards and implement safety protocols.
- Utilize maintenance management software to track and analyze maintenance work.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities and their effectiveness.
- Work with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary tools, equipment, and parts.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work based on demand, workload, skill set, and priorities.
- Estimate costs and prepare budgets.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure completion of tasks within stipulated time.
- Identify and resolve any problems that could delay maintenance operations.
- Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for maintenance tasks.
- Monitor the use of materials and resources and aim to minimize waste.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance database and records.
- Analyze maintenance data and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
- Must be a good communicator in writing and orally.
- Great time management practices.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be attentive to detail, and be highly organized.
- A high school diploma, associate’s degree (or higher) in a technical field is strongly preferred.
- Five (5) years of related experience supporting maintenance functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite:
Excel, Word, and Outlook. - Experience with inventory management systems preferred.
