Overview
The Plant Maintenance Planner schedules the maintenance work activity in the plant.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with Job Change Coordinator and production staff to plan maintenance during downtime and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the facility.
- Provide documentation of upcoming work, including parts lists/kits required.
- Review and improve the maintenance and planning processes to improve efficiency and remove waste, including but not limited to cost, manning, and materials.
- Understand storeroom inventories, min/max, and work with storeroom personnel to manage parts inventory and prioritize ordering against available M&E budgets.
- Interface with the safety observation, walk-and-talk, and near-miss processes within the plant to ensure alignment of maintenance resources and activities to improve employee safety and environmental compliance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold people accountable.
- Plant maintenance background in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical parts (motors, gear, boxes, rings).
- Previous experience managing projects and meeting deadlines.
- High School diploma required.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree or technical degree preferred.
- Experience as a mechanic or has completed technical degree in a related field.
- Requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with common office and industry‑specific applications.
- Experience working in a union environment is preferred.

Salary Range:
The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
