Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in California requiring a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
- Care for laboring mothers, delivered mothers, and newborns
- Night shift with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Position is a 13-week contract assignment
- Must be comfortable caring for both mothers and newborns
- Responsibilities include caring for mothers throughout labor and immediate postpartum, as well as caring for newborns
- Must be able to effectively manage both maternal and neonatal care
- Required to complete orientation modules online, with duration based on specialty
- Return staff must have been gone for at least one year to be eligible
- Only one holiday time-off will be approved during assignment
- Locals are accepted at a different pay rate
- Information about background history should be disclosed prior to consideration
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (provider) certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
- Must provide two professional references obtained within the last year
- Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
