American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with critical care expertise, requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of ICU experience.

• ICU setting within a community hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS (PALS must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience preferred (2 years minimum)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and neuromuscular blockade
• Skilled in CVA/acute stroke management and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience obtaining 12-lead EKGs and managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions

• Provide high-acuity critical care to ICU patients, including those requiring ventilator support and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex and critically ill patients
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, with only one holiday request approved per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local candidate rate
• Returning employees must have a one-year separation before being eligible to return as travelers
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
