American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN requiring a CA license and at least 2-3 years of ICU experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details- ICU setting within a community hospital
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Epic charting system experience required
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- PALS certification required, must be obtained prior to start if not already held
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, 3+ years preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
- Experience with continuous IV sedation, paralytics, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Experience with CVA/acute stroke management; hypothermia protocol experience preferred
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
- Experience with IV insulin protocols
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required
- Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
- Responsible for infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE compliance
- Candidates must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- Accurate 7-year work history required for verification purposes
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
- Returning travelers must have a one-year separation before reapplying
- First-time travelers are not considered for this role
