We Are Currently Recruiting For The Position Of
Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery at 875 South Tracy Blvd., Tracy, CA 95376. This role may be assigned to one of several departments within the store – Center Store, Produce, Meat/Seafood, Bakery/Deli, or Janitorial. The Multi-Purpose Clerk promotes sales within the assigned department, answers customers’ questions, responds to customer requests for products, and accurately places special orders. The Clerk practices safe food handling procedures, maintains a clean work area, and ensures an orderly, hazard-free environment.

The Clerk receives, inspects, and logs products for accuracy of shipment and quality, and then stocks, rotates, and merchandises to maintain freshness and appeal.

• Center Store/Front End – Operate the check-stand according to company policy and procedures, memorize PLU codes, order, receive, unload, stock, and rotate product onto shelves and cases, merchandise product, and perform Point-Of-Sale (POS) and inventory activities.
• Produce – Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy and quality; trim, wash, and wrap produce; stock, rotate, and merchandise to maintain freshness; maintain floral area; keep all areas and equipment clean.
• Meat/Seafood – Receive, inspect, and log products; weigh, wrap/package, and label products for display; stock, rotate, and merchandise; provide customer service at the seafood counter; take special orders; operate equipment such as slicers and wrappers; keep area and equipment clean.
• Bakery/Deli – Receive, inspect, and log products; prepare, weigh, package, and label for display; stock, rotate, and merchandise; take special orders such as cakes and party trays; operate equipment such as ovens, proofers, slicers, and mixers; keep area and equipment clean.
• Janitorial – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store; sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas; clean restrooms, break room, office areas, shelving, front end equipment, shopping carts, vending machines; clean front of store and parking lot, and empty trash; operate janitorial equipment such as scrubbers and buffers.

• May operate baler if authorized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

$16.75 - $25.70 per hour.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self-motivation.
• Capability to be proactive, initiate, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job.

High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.

Six months of related experience.

Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours; must be at least 18 years of age.

Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; requires lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
