As a Store Loss Prevention Specialist, you will provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits, mitigate theft and fraud, and maintain a safe environment for associates and customers. You will greet customers with a friendly “command” presence in company‑issued vest/black attire, monitor Code 50 package inspections, and walk the sales floor to identify and address potential theft indicators.
Essential Functions- Maintaining Safe & Secure Environment
- Practice safe behaviors and assist store leadership in maintaining safety for associates and customers.
- Provide a visible command presence, including greetings with eye contact, at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
- Remove clutter and ensure clear egress to emergency exits.
- Developing Great Teams & Partnerships
- Provide excellent customer service with eye contact, smiles, and friendly answers.
- Treat all customers and associates with respect.
- Demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism.
- Engage internally and externally – conference calls, district meetings, education, recognition.
- Perform other duties to support loss prevention initiatives.
- Representing the Brand
- Support the company brand at all times.
- Maintain a professional appearance per dress code.
- Mitigating Theft & Fraud
- Monitor entrances/exits and sales floor for suspicious behavior.
- Gather theft indicators and use intelligence to impact shortage trends.
- Communicate findings to store and loss prevention leadership.
- Adhere to company policy for external theft response.
- Execute best practices to maximize productivity.
- Minimizing Operational Shortage
- Increase store awareness on effective processes to reduce shortage.
- Train and educate associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
- Observe and validate proper checkout procedures.

- High school education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
- One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
- One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
- Active Security Guard License preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated relationship‑building with the store team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven ability to resolve conflict.
- Compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions (background screening, physical exam, fingerprinting, drug test).
- Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
- Spend up to 100 % of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
- Raise or lower objects >25 lbs from level to level.
- Regularly bend, stoop, or crouch (frequency and duration vary).
- Other assignments may require additional qualifications.

PayRange
Base pay range: $17.00 – $17.50 per hour. Pay depends on experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. This range is one component of the total compensation package; other rewards vary by position and location.
