The Facility Technician I ensures building maintenance is performed with preventive and immediate repair work at the Williams‑Sonoma Distribution Center in Tracy, CA. This dynamic role supports the fast‑paced Supply Chain environment and provides opportunities for skill development and career growth.

• Monitor, maintain, and perform minor repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
• Read, interpret, and implement work orders using CMMS.
• Use strong verbal, written, and e‑mail communication skills.
• Apply basic electrical knowledge (lighting, wiring), plumbing, welding, carpentry, and pneumatic systems.
• Track and store inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in all departments.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks with tools and equipment.
• Assist other maintenance technicians and complete batteries or other assigned duties.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in general maintenance/ construction (roofing, carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, electrical, building construction, or a related trade/technical school equivalency).
• Flexibility with work hours and days (24‑hour by 7‑day operation, including holidays).
• Valid PID certification for powered industrial trucks, people movers, and forklifts; WSI certification required.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and ability to safely operate a wide array of equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently with strong organizational and time‑management skills.

• Commercial maintenance experience.

• Ability to work at heights and in unusual positions.
• Capable of safely operating hand tools and lifting up to 75 lb regularly.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet‑jacks, handcarts).
• Tolerance to exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and working around moving equipment while often working in uncomfortable positions.
• Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, wrist motion, etc.
• Comfortable with walking/standing 100 % of the day.
