A self-motivated Safety Coordinator is needed to support the Health and Safety team. You will be responsible for fostering a safe working environment and conducting compliance monitoring. The role also involves performing audits, incident investigations, and delivering specific safety training to staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion safety leadership onsite with effective adherence to rules

• Inspect work areas and follow up on safety practices

• Ensure compliance with Worksafe BC and Teck standards

• Support project planning and hazard assessments

• Drive continuous improvement of safety processes

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety

• Over 5 years of experience in heavy industry

• Commitment to Canadian Registered Safety Professional certification

• MS Office proficiency required

• Project/Turnaround experience preferred
