Imagine being part of a team of 11 emergency physicians managing approximately 17,000 patient visits annually. As the regional Trauma and ICU Referral Centre, we handle complex cases that will test and expand your skills. Our patient demographic is diverse, covering pediatrics to geriatrics, mental health, trauma, and various medical and surgical scenarios, ensuring a rich patient care experience.

We are equipped with state-of-the-art onsite medical imaging facilities, including CT and MRI, providing the necessary tools to excel. Collaborate with allied health professionals such as mental health and substance use nurses, physiotherapists, and respiratory therapists to deliver exemplary care.

Our facility is involved in wide-ranging initiatives, with dedicated funding for quality improvement projects, allowing you to enhance patient outcomes. We are also a hub for medical education, offering opportunities for learning, mentorship, and innovation through programs like the Southern Medical Program Integrated Clerkship and UBC Family Practice Residency Site. Qualifications

• Hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• Have, or be eligible for, your Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).
• Have, or be eligible for, your CCFP (EM). Consideration is given if you have emergency experience and hold or are eligible for CCFP.
• If US-trained with ABMS certification in emergency medicine, you may be eligible under the USA certified class.
• Maintain coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
