Position: Learning Support Teacher Opportunity
Join Webster Elementary School as a Learning Support Teacher, focusing on students' diverse needs within the Kootenay-Columbia School District. This part-time role provides impactful support through inclusive education strategies from September to December.

This temporary 0.30 FTE position calls for BC Certified candidates with a Bachelor of Education in Inclusive Education. Applicants should demonstrate prior experience in elementary education, particularly with students with disabilities like Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Your role will be pivotal in assessing students and collaborating on effective instructional strategies and support methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Conduct classroom observations and assessments

• Support teachers in adapting curriculum for inclusivity

• Mentor and guide Educational Assistants in best practices

• Utilize assistive technology to enhance learning

Requirements:

• BC Certification and Bachelor's in Inclusive Education

• Experience working with diverse student abilities

• Strong skills in assessment and curriculum adaptation

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and assistive software

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
