Glenmerry Elementary Education Assistant

Position: Glenmerry Elementary Education Assistant Role
Support student learning as a temporary Education Assistant at Glenmerry Elementary School under Kootenay-Columbia School District. Work 28.5 hours a week from September to December.

This role involves direct assistance to teachers and students, starting on September 8, 2026. The Education Assistant will work closely with children to facilitate their learning and ensure a supportive educational environment throughout the school year. Note that this assignment may conclude earlier than planned or could be extended.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid teachers in daily instructional tasks

• Provide assistance to students with diverse learning needs

• Maintain classroom order and promote focus

• Engage in collaborative planning with educational staff

• Support preparation for school functions and events

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an educational setting preferred

• Excellent communication skills with students and staff
