Steller Vista Credit Union has been in partnership with Nelson & District Credit Union since 2012. We are Money Works, doing business as Steller Vista Money Works and NDCU Money Works. Through this partnership, we provide a holistic approach to financial planning, matching members’ financial needs with the best solutions tailored to their situation. We provide a variety of product and service options to members throughout the Kootenay-Boundary region.

Wealth Advisor – East Kootenay Region

Reporting dually to both the senior investment advisor and the general manager, the successful candidate will play a significant role in providing financial advice and assistance to clients, while strengthening the overall presence of Steller Vista Money Works in the communities it serves.

The incumbent will be self-motivated, and results driven, working a flexible schedule and meeting clients/members needs on their timelines. Travel is required.

• Provide financial advice and assistance to clients and members.
• Strengthen the overall presence of Steller Vista Money Works in the communities it serves.
• Work a flexible schedule and travel to meet clients’ needs on their timelines.
• Report to both the senior investment advisor and the general manager.

• Results-oriented professional with a commitment to furthering the organization’s reputation in the community.
• Positive, adaptable approach with strong relationship-building skills and interpersonal perceptiveness.
• Dedicated to a holistic planning approach when working with members.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in providing holistic financial advice (financial planning, investment, risk assessment and insurance options) preferred.
• Holder or near completion of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
• Licensed to sell securities as well as life insurance within BC.
• Post-secondary designation preferred.
• You will have a loyal book of households to start with and build from to create a successful book/practice.

We are pleased to offer a competitive compensation package including but not limited to participation in extended benefits and pension programs.

Current Annual Salary Range: $74,000 - $80,000

Annual salary commensurate to education and experience.

Preferred job location: Cranbrook, B.C.
