Senior Public Works Operator II Warfield

Join the Village of Warfield as a full-time Senior Public Works Operator II, responsible for municipal infrastructure maintenance and repair. Utilize your skills in operating heavy equipment and ensuring public works efficiency.

This position falls within the CUPE Local 2087 bargaining unit, reporting to the Public Works Foreman. You will play a vital role in the operation, maintenance, and inspection of roads, drainage, parks, and vehicles. Your expertise will enhance municipal services while responding to utility needs and overseeing snow and ice control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain municipal infrastructure and heavy equipment

• Inspect roads, drainage, and facility conditions daily

• Participate in snow and ice control and emergency utility response

• Work cooperatively with the public and contractors

• Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements

Requirements:

• Valid B.C. Class 3 driver’s license

• Significant experience in municipal public works operations

• Knowledge of safe work practices and municipal standards

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

• Willingness to work overtime as needed
