Position: RDKB Planning and Development Role
Join the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) as a Planner, focusing on current applications and community planning service. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity in sustainable governance.

As a Planner in the Planning and Development Department, you will report to the Current Planning Supervisor. This role requires processing applications and responding to planning inquiries from both the public and the development community. There will be opportunities for public engagement outside regular hours, aligning with the RDKB’s mission of community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process applications and provincial referrals

• Address planning inquiries from the public

• Provide quality customer service and support

• Participate in after-hours public engagement sessions

• Work collaboratively within the Planning team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning or a related discipline

• At least one year of local government planning experience

• Membership eligibility with planning institutions

• Microsoft Suite proficiency and software adaptability

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
