Support patients through complex health challenges as a Casual Social Worker at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. This role emphasizes compassionate, client-centered care.

Interior Health is inviting BCCSW registered Social Workers for casual employment opportunities from Monday to Friday. Your responsibilities will include performing psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, and collaborating with health teams to create comprehensive care plans. You will also assist in connecting patients to community resources for a safe transition after discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for diverse patient needs

• Provide effective crisis intervention and supportive counseling

• Work with healthcare teams to design patient-centered plans

• Facilitate access to community resources and support services

• Advocate for patients dealing with health and life challenges

Requirements:

• Registration with BCCSW as a Social Worker

• Experience in acute care preferable

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Availability for flexible casual shifts
