Position: Registered Nurse - Forest Home
Join Extendicare as a Registered Nurse for the upcoming Forest Trail home in Peterborough, Ontario. This casual role emphasizes direct resident care and medication management, starting in Q3 2026.

In this position, you will work closely with the Director of Care, ensuring resident assessments and care plans are up-to-date.

Your role allows for collaboration in resident transfers and education while you lead a team in implementing health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate care assessments and planning

• Order and administer medications as required

• Supervise and delegate tasks to unregulated care providers

• Oversee nursing student placements and training

• Address resident concerns with appropriate actions

Requirements:

• Active RN registration in Ontario

• Experience in gerontology and long-term care

• Effective time management and coordination skills

• Proficient computer and communication abilities

• Current Vulnerable Sector Check certification
