Do you enjoy working outdoors in fresh mountain air? We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join as our Mountain Bike Park Trail Crew Lead Hand. Your daily activities will include leading the Mountain Bike Trail Crew in safety, planning, building, and maintaining trail structures and features to company and industry standards. The Lead Hand position offers the unique opportunity to subject the Sun Peaks Bike Park guests to a safe, positive, enjoyable, and memorable riding experience.
Working as a Trail Crew Lead Hand, you will be part of a team that loves to ride and wants to share the love of Mountain Biking with others. $22.45 per hour (this updated wage is effective May 01, 2026)
Physical RequirementHeavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

- Proven supervisory and motivational skills.
- Self‑motivated, organized; able to work productively with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe trail building, maintenance, water management and erosion control, signage, and Industry Standards for Mountain Bike trail construction.
- Demonstrated proficiency with hand tools, chainsaw operation, safety procedures and training of crew.
- Able to work and direct the mountain bike crew in all weather conditions safely.
- Physically fit with no injuries or disabilities that would restrict or interfere with carrying out the job description fully.
- Willingness to take directions on work required from Manager and direct reports.
- Daily direction and supervision of mountain bike trail crew.
- Comply with OH&S and Work Safe BC regulations with daily work programs, PPE use.
- Maintenance/building of trail surfaces, including berms, bridges and all features to Industry standards.
- Report to Manager daily, weekly, and monthly with program progress.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe trails and features within SPRLLP Bike Park.
