Hadc Fab is a leading steel fabrication company based in Tranent, delivering structural steel for major infrastructure and engineering projects across the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a CNC Machine Parts Inspector to join our team and help ensure every component produced on our CNC machines meets the highest quality standards.
This is a hands-on, shop-floor role working closely with CNC Operators and Supervisors in a fast-paced, modern fabrication environment.
About the RoleAs a CNC Machine Parts Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting steel components directly from our CNC machines, ensuring they meet engineering drawings and specifications before progressing through production.
Your work will play a key role in maintaining quality, preventing defects, and supporting efficient production.
This role is ideal for someone with fabrication, CNC, or inspection experience who takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.
What You’ll Be Doing- Inspect steel components produced by CNC machines
- Check parts against engineering drawings and specifications
- Verify hole positions, cut-outs, and dimensional accuracy
- Identify and report defects or non-conforming parts
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records
- Complete Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Work closely with CNC Operators, Supervisors, and Quality teams
- Support bundling and preparation of inspected components
- Help maintain high quality standards across production
- You are practical, reliable, and have strong attention to detail.
- You are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and take pride in producing high-quality work.
- You will bring:
- Experience in fabrication, CNC, manufacturing, or inspection
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring tools such as callipers, gauges, or squares
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- Engineering or fabrication qualifications (desirable)
