A Day in the Life

The Electrical Coordinator position has full to partial responsibility for hospital electrical system compliance and operation. This position also coordinates day‑to‑day tasks of the employed electricians, pulls electrical permits, and works with other departments to ensure the integrity of the fire alarm, security and electrical systems of the hospital.

• Associates Degree in construction technology with an emphasis on project planning, short‑duration scheduling, estimating, and 4 years’ experience as an electrical trade’s superintendent coordinating with all aspects of building and remodeling projects
• Associates Degree; 6 years’ experience in electrical trades foreman and 2 years’ experience as an electrical trade’s superintendent coordinating all aspects of building and remodeling projects.
• High School Diploma or GED; 6 years electrical superintendent
• High School Diploma or GED; 10–14 years electrical trades foreman

• Master Electrician card
• State of Michigan Trade Licensure
• Valid Driver's License
• First Aid & CPR Certification – or must obtain within six months
