Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Department: Engineering

Summary / Objective
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned areas and functions in relationship to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People to support the overall company goals and objectives. This position works within the manufacturing plant to identify opportunities and improve processes through the application of new equipment and systems, improved programming techniques, process evaluation/improvements, material handling, and other engineering related areas.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Program components using Esprit Software (experience with Esprit preferred)
- Develop manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixtures, programs and inspection.
- Develop instructions, setup sheets and visual aids to support production.
- Manufacturing support of new equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Develops and/or transitions new and/or improves processes to manufacturing, which includes the preparation of procedures and other manufacturing documentation. Provides on-site assistance for troubleshooting, quality improvements, capability issues, productivity improvement.
- Drives process improvements and new process introductions.
- Familiar with all aspects of the assigned product lines from part prints, to all aspects of the operation phases including tooling, fixtures, equipment, CNCs, programming and gages.
- Create Manufacturing Process Routers
- Evaluate product lines and improve efficiency
- Develop time studies for cost estimating
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment for production.
- Assist in Lean Activities, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S and Value Stream Mapping
- Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
- Statistical Analysis of in-process data
- Work with teams on open ECNS, track open ECNS and problem‑solving activities.
- Assist with specifying of materials, thermal processing and components.
- 1st article process development at work center.
- Generate 3D Models and 2D Detailing for in-process drawings, fixtures and work holdings.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents; respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints; make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations; apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Must be proficient using computers.
- Compliance to the Quality Management System, Safety Practices, and Management Operating System documents relative to your department.
- Support specific objectives and targets that support company goals and objectives.
- Support, participate and lead in Lean Enterprise/Manufacturing initiatives throughout the organization including but not limited to kaizen, OEE, Kanban, 6 Sigma, etc.
- Oversee and comply with company rules and practices in compliance with the Employee Handbook.
- Comply with 5S housekeeping practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Responsible for promoting and demonstrating a team philosophy in accomplishing company and personal goals and objectives.
- CAD/CAM experience – at least 5 – 8 years.
