Location: 1221 Sixth Street #208, Traverse City, MI

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

A Day in the Life

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks alongside the provider to ensure patient care and clinic flow.
• Serve as the first point of patient care: room and prep patients per clinic checklists; measure weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vitals as required.
• Document patient care including histories, referral requests, etc.
• Assist with daily operations to optimize patient care, supporting teammates and providers when needed.

Credentialed Medical Assistant

• High school graduate or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare credentialing organization.
• BLS certification (preferred); must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain.

Non‑Credentialed Medical Assistant

• High school graduate or GED equivalent (preferred).
• One year relevant experience in a physician practice or similar setting, or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification (preferred); must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have lab‑confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. All employees must receive the flu vaccine during flu season in the year hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
