Position SummaryThe Human Resource/Business Manager is responsible for performing HR‑related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, employment law compliance, office support of processes and procedures, overseeing customer care and promoting a positive work culture throughout the company.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Foster positive employee relations and partner with leadership to resolve workplace issues while minimizing risk
- Lead and develop the office team by mentoring, coaching and working shoulder to shoulder through servant leadership
- Recruit top talent, negotiate wages, on‑board and oversee their professional growth
- Handle benefits administration, track leaves, PTO and SOP of the HR department
- Conduct performance reviews, goal‑setting sessions and exit interviews
- Support management with best practices of PIP, work comp, one‑on‑ones, performance conversations, etc.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, assist with scheduling and support day‑to‑day office operations
- Be the liaison between departments within the office to support cohesive resolutions
- Maintain accurate HR records, systems and reports; oversee compliance and certifications
- Coordinate continuing education, training programs and professional development
- Build on our existing employee recognition efforts and create team‑building and company events
- Perform other duties as needed to support the business and our people
3 years in Human Resource Management and Office Management experience is required. Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma and a track record of at least 5 years at one employer. The candidate should have great attention to detail, be gently persuasive, highly supportive with a hands‑on approach to gaining quick resolution.
Desired Qualifications5+ years in Human Resource Management and Office Management is preferred as well as a BA in Human Resources or a BA in business, or the equivalent of 5 years without the degree would be acceptable. A PHR or SHRM‑CP would be highly regarded.
