Traverse Production

Overview

Cone Drive Operations, a Timken company, is located in Traverse City, Michigan and boasts 100 years in the gearing industry. We are hiring for production associates in our assembly and machining operations in our Traverse City facility, which produces gear products for a wide variety of customers and industries.

Production associates start at $23.35/hr on 2nd (evening) or 3rd (midnight) shifts, will be cross-trained on assembly and machining processes, then able to pursue internal opportunities on various shifts once trained. A shift premium of $0.50/hr is provided for evening and midnight shifts. This is a great opportunity to work with a well-respected company offering a variety of career paths in manufacturing!

• Work in production within the assembly and machining operations of the Traverse City facility.
• Be cross-trained on assembly and machining processes and pursue internal opportunities on various shifts once trained.

• Mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to work any shift
• Hands-on mechanical experience, preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
• HS diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform basic math (algebra & geometry), read prints and use gaging devices

This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).
