Job Description
The CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer will support short-run production by setting up and operating CNC lathes, editing existing Fanuc programs, and creating programs from engineering drawings. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will select tooling, interpret blueprints, and perform operator self-inspection and in-process inspection to ensure accurate, high-quality parts.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.
- Edit existing programs and create programs from drawings.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes for short-run production.
- Select appropriate cutting tools and tooling.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Perform operator self-inspection and in-process inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in CNC machining.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with CNC lathe operation and setup.
- Experience with CNC offsets.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Precision measurement experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
