Registered Nurse – Critical Care Nurse Residency Program Why work as a Critical Care Nurse Resident at Munson Healthcare?

• Munson Medical Center is seeking talented new graduate nurses for the Critical Care Residency Program. We are offering Summer (July) cohort, and Winter (February) cohort start dates. This exciting and intensive residency will give you an opportunity to explore working in the 20‑bed ICU and two 30‑bed cardiac critical care units within the Webber Heart Center. At the conclusion of the 12‑month Critical Care Nurse Residency additional professional critical care opportunities are available including Interventional Radiology and Munson’s Medical Center’s 43‑bed Emergency Department.
• Our program includes a combination of clinical and didactic training. New residents will participate in hands‑on training, in‑person critical care interactive didactic training, high fidelity skills labs and simulations, EKG training, case studies, and numerous clinical and critical‑thinking experiences.

First Round Interview:
If selected for the first‑round interview, a member of the recruitment team will reach out to you for a preliminary phone interview to learn more about your interest in the position

Second Round Interview: Panel interview with unit managers and residency team

* Interviews start September 2025 for the February 2026 cohort. In‑person interviews are strongly encouraged for the second round. More details will be shared upon application.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Graduate nurses and new RN’s are accepted
• If starting as an RN, will need to share proof of MI RN license
• For those hired into an RN position after January 1, 2015, it is required to obtain a BSN within 5 years of start date
• Medication delivery and counting of narcotics or witnessing waste of narcotics may not be done until the RN licensure is obtained (if practicing as a GN)
• Experience in the clinical area in which application has been made is desirable
