A Day in the Life

• Be part of the only dedicated stroke unit in northern Michigan
  , a 29-bed private room unit specializing in the care of patients with neurologic deficits.
• As part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) designation
  , we care for a wide range of complex neurological conditions, including:
  • Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
  • Seizure disorders
  • Headaches and mood disorders
  • Rare and complex neurologic syndromes
  • Post-operative neurosurgical care (e.g., thrombectomies, TNK, craniotomies, VP shunts)

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
• Passion for neurology and high-acuity care
• BLS Certification
• ACLS preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (to be obtained during unit orientation)
• Experienced RNs and new grads with a strong interest in neuro
