General Function

The Sales Associate sets the standard of quality in eye care and eyewear by ensuring every patient and customer has the best experience in Lens Crafters every time. The role helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs in the community.

• Consistently deliver sales plan and company objectives by cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.
• Utilize optical prescriptions to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate frames with optical measurements, helping customers choose the best vision solution.
• Conduct measurements using appropriate optical tools and consult with the Optician as needed.
• Actively participate in a positive store environment, fostering professional relationships with peers, management, doctors and support staff.
• Maintain the store’s appearance and ensure displays and inventory are clean, attractive and organized.
• Foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of retail or customer service experience
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, computers and calculators; basic phone and math skills
• Willingness to embrace new technology and adapt with accuracy
• Ability to sell using sales skills and accountability for results; desire to meet goals
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-changing environment

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a total rewards package.
