American Spoon, established in 1982, specializes in making preserves in our Northern Michigan storefront kitchen. We work with Michigan farmers and foragers to gather unique fruits, which we preserve in small batches using traditional methods. Our family-owned company is dedicated to capturing and preserving flavors that are hard to find elsewhere.

American Spoon is seeking seasonal retail associates for our Traverse City store from September through December. This position is ideal for teachers, students, retirees, or anyone seeking seasonal retail work.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing excellent customer service and fostering long-term relationships with customers.
• Acting as a brand ambassador by educating customers and staff about our products.
• Stocking shelves both on the sales floor and in the stock room.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• Processing purchases at our POS system.

• A passion for food, cooking with fresh ingredients, and knowledge of locally grown fruits and vegetables is a plus.
• Energetic attitude and teamwork orientation.
• High standards and commitment to quality.
• Retail experience in a small specialty shop is preferred.
• Experience in public interaction is required.
• Availability on weekdays and weekends, especially Sundays.
