Overview

Kitchen Tune‑Up (KTU) is a family‑owned home remodeling firm serving Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Traverse City, MI. We specialize in kitchen and bathroom renovations and pride ourselves on delivering a seamless, customer‑centric experience. This part‑time sales role is based in Traverse City, with opportunities to work across the region.

Reporting Relationship

The sales representative reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and present quotes for kitchen and bath projects using the KTU internal system.
  • Gather detailed product information and tailor presentations to customer needs, offering innovative solutions that drive sales.
  • Close sales and manage the entire pre‑to‑post sales cycle, including follow‑up, documentation, and coordination with operations.
  • Develop outside leads beyond the Idea Center and Design Studio’s advertising, and maintain a pipeline of 20% own leads.
  • Participate in showroom and annual trade shows to qualify prospects.
  • Conduct on‑site visits, produce cabinet layouts, capture “before” photographs, and manage job change orders.
  • Communicate regularly with customers throughout the project to ensure satisfaction and document progress for internal teams.
  • Coordinate with KTU Design Services/Operations to schedule cabinet orders and oversee purchase requisitions.
  • Collect payments per KTU’s billing cycle and maintain accurate sales tracker entries.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition with the Project Manager prior to installation and perform final site visits.
  • Provide client gifts and maintain ongoing customer engagement until project completion.
Compensation

100% commission model with potential to earn $100 K+ per year. Base salary ranges from $50,000 to $100,000 annually for this position.
