Installer - HVAC / Boiler Experienced Residential Installer - 6+ years Residential Experience
Precision Plumbing Heating & Electrical seeks an experienced Residential HVAC/Boiler Installer to join their team in the Grand Traverse area. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of residential experience and strong leadership skills.
Job DetailsLocation: Traverse City, MI
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year
Pay Scale: Up to $75,000–90,000 Annually
Work Hours: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, with overtime as needed
- Install heating and air conditioning systems to company standards, providing the customer with a high-quality experience
- Supervise the work of other installers, encouraging high quality and timely job performance
- Troubleshoot issues, train other technicians on best practices, installation code, and company processes
- Maintain NATE certification and perform required paperwork and change orders
- Report issues with installations, tools, or vehicles; work well with customers, co‑workers, and subcontractors
- Complete tasks within labor budgets and handle processes such as job packets and timecards
- Present innovative solutions and maintain professional appearance and attitude
- Level 1‑5 HVAC qualification, plus Level 3 tools and universal refrigeration license
- Valid EPA certification for Levels 1 and 2
- Proficient in installing forced‑air furnaces, A/C units, boilers, minisplits, and ductwork (round and rectangular)
- Basic understanding of complex sheet metal fittings and the ability to complete simple low‑voltage connections
- Strong customer relations, effective communication skills, and ability to complete paperwork and change orders
- Experience testing line sets, setting pressures during start‑ups, and supervising and training others
