Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire extinguishers, and other fire protection equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, making necessary repairs and replacements to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of fire extinguishers and minimize the risk of failures.
- Document inspection and service activities accurately, maintaining detailed records of findings, repairs, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide expert guidance to clients.
- On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service and inspection requests.
Qualifications
Proven 2+ years experience with knowledge of fire extinguishers, and related equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required.
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
NICET or State certification helpful
Building Reports software experience preferred.
Service Trade software experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Fire Extinguisher Technician: 2 years (Preferred)
- Fire Extinguisher Service Technician: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
