A Day in the Life

The Journeyman electrician is responsible for maintaining hospital buildings and facilities to a high standard of electrical and general safety. This position requires proven electrical and mechanical aptitude and experience as an apprentice electrician, a journeyman, mechanical and electrical construction trades person. This position may be responsible for material and equipment takeoffs and coordinating delivery to project sites, high and low voltage installations, fire alarm and security system installations/maintenance, maintaining as‑built drawings, and ensuring electrical construction sites and work areas are organized and clean.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4 years proven competency with electrical and heavy construction equipment
• State of Michigan License/Journeyman card
• Valid Michigan Drivers License
