Seagate Research Group (SRG) conducts research to transform Seagate’s considerable technical expertise , innovation, and manufacturing excellence to develop innovative technologies for the rapidly growing data sphere.

SRG - Data Trust (DT) Vector focuses on increasing security & privacy capabilities to anchor Seagate as the industry leader of trustworthy storage solutions.

Currently , the DT team is seeking a candidate to research exciting emerging cryptographical algorithms, protocol and/or security technologies. This position offers a variety of opportunities to prototype, experiment, and benchmark innovative ideas and concepts in projects.

The candidate will be involved in projects involving proof of concepts applying cryptographical algorithm s (PQC and non-PQC) , protocols and memory safe languages for embedded environments.

The successful candidate will work with the global team of Seagate Research around one or more of the following:

• Cryptography
• Product and data security

The candidate is expected to apply his/her knowledge to research threat landscape and state of the art technologies to address the threats.

• Good knowledge on
• Cryptography
• Standards / Protocols
• Memory safe programming languages
• Good team player, Can-do attitude and willing to learn
• Good communication skills

• Experience with implementing or creating cryptographic algorithms
• Experience in embedded system involving security project s
• Software development
• Embedded system Coding or Programming
• Biometric security systems
• Development in Linux environment
• FPGA development for cryptography or security projects

The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass-transportation to work.
