- To be prompt and prepared for the start of shift
- To undertake tasks in accordance with the individual care plans of the residents at the home
- To perform duties in a consistent and effective manner
- To encourage individual residents to take as much responsibility for their own lives as they can reasonably be expected to do
- To communicate in ways which facilitate a positive outcome(s)
- To note and report any perceived changes in any resident’s condition and behaviours
- To maintain the confidentiality of information regarding the residents at all times in accordance with the home's Confidentiality Policy
- To assist residents in their daily activities as identified in their individual care plans and any activities deemed appropriate for their development and wellbeing
- To have a professional attitude, patience and empathy to work effectively with all residents
- To assist in providing a positive and fulfilling environment so that the resident can strive to develop their full potential but account for their vulnerability and need for support on an individual basis
