Post Surgery Care Aide

Base Pay Range

$16.00/hr – $18.00/hr

• Caregiving experience is not required but helpful (private in‑home care, assisted living, group homes, etc.).
• Your work history should demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
• A great caregiver is patient, attentive, resourceful, and displays attention to detail.
• CNA or other certifications are helpful but not required.

• Be a genuine and supportive companion
• Provide personal care
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with walking, mobility, and physical therapy exercises
• Accompany clients to doctor’s appointments, store, etc.
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with Alzheimer/Dementia care
• Perform light housekeeping

• Compassionate and enjoy caring for others
• Team player
• Reliable and strong work history
• Minimum of one‑year professional experience working with seniors (e.g., in‑home care, independent/assisted living/memory care, community, hospital, and rehab)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Current TB or chest X‑ray; current CPR certification (both due upon hire)
• Reliable transportation

Dependent on assignment; shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and based on availability. Assisting Hands does not guarantee hours.
