ScheduleMonday‑Friday 7:30 am‑4:15 pm
Salary$60,500 – $90,000

- Managing supplies and equipment, ensuring students have access to necessary materials.
- Ensuring mastery of content knowledge through effective teaching methods.
- Providing individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and engage scholars.
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and collaboration.
- Modeling high levels of emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and strong communication.
- Creating a structured and progressive learning experience for scholars of different ages and skill levels.
- Developing and delivering standard‑aligned lessons that encourage creativity and self‑expression.
- Evaluating scholars’ work and providing constructive feedback.
- Staying informed about cultural awareness and inclusive curriculum.
- Attending workshops, conferences, and other events to stay abreast of the latest trends in education and teaching strategies.
- 2+ years working in an urban education setting preferred.
- Track record of measurable success and achievement.

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- NJ certification in Music or eligibility for NJ certification with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (if graduated after Sept 2015) or 2.75 (before Sept 2015).
