- Marking up accepted essays for fact-checking
- Conducting fact-checking process when necessary
- Find and obtain images
- Research and write captions for gallery images
- Building pages
- Communicating with authors regarding publication
- Assist in training Research / Digital Publishing Assistant(s) on page-building process
- Maintaining files for Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia in Dropbox and Box
- Maintaining Backgrounders
- Checking broken links
- Occasional copy-editing of already-published essays for style
This position is expected to pay a minimum hourly salary of $20 per hour.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in History or related field, Master's preferred.
- Ability to conduct historical research and write clearly and effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Suite and Word Press
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
