We are in search of a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of health professionals in providing excellent health care at our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the PT in following safety standards established for the physical therapy department.
• Follow established departmental policies and procedures, including an appropriate dress code.
• Be alert for resident safety during all therapy.
• Comply with the facility’s established safety precautions.
• Assist in using safety equipment and supplies when lifting or moving residents.
• Assist in ensuring physical therapy practices and procedures comply with current applicable regulations.
• Follow infection control procedures and standard/universal precautions when performing duties.
• Assist in ensuring the safety and comfort of the resident while going to and from the therapy room or area.
• Ensure the therapy area is maintained in a clean and safe manner, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Follow reporting procedures when observing hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Wear personal protective clothing when performing services that involve potential exposure to blood or body fluids.
• Report missing and illegible labels or SDSs to your supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
