Spanish Interpreter

Overview

We are looking for LICENSED/CERTIFIED Court
Spanish & English interpreters. As a freelance face-to-face interpreter (verbal Interpreter), you will use your language skills to assist others during medical, legal, community, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Master Word is a great way to help your community. The interpreter relays oral information between speakers of two different languages in a consecutive, and/or simultaneous (if requested) mode.

The interpreter understands and abides by all published Standards of Practice and Codes of Ethics for Interpreters. This position offers great hourly rates, the flexibility you need to work on other projects and is a great way to help your community! Must be Court Certified.

Shift: While we do operate 24/7, most of our assignment requests are during business hours. We need you to be available during business hours, usually these are Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.

• We are looking for individuals who are COURT CERTIFIED/REGISTERED/LICENSED
• Exude extreme professionalism through appearance, attitude, punctuality, and posture.
• Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information and maintain client confidentiality pursuant to protocols established by the contract, HIPAA and industry standards.
• Act as cultural liaison when necessary.
• Ability to explain and interpret idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances.
• Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource to contribute to successful outcomes.
• Perform duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
• Have access to communication tools for prompt responses with the coordinating team (including text, email, and voicemail).

• Court Certified/Registered/Licensed interpreters (Spanish & English)
• Excellent professionalism in appearance, attitude, punctuality, and posture
• Ability to maintain confidentiality per contract, HIPAA, and industry standards
• Strong cultural and linguistic interpretation skills; ability to explain idiomatic expressions
• Team-oriented with reliable communication tools (text, email, voicemail)
