Job DescriptionProvide leadership and operational direction in safety, health, security, and environmental services to the Operations team and Maintenance Specialists. Draft, manage, and oversee compliance programs, work with directors, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to maintain high standards and reduce risk.
Essential Functions- Oversee multiple facilities with travel requirements.
- Lead SHS and environmental initiatives for Ryder Operations.
- Develop compliance programs and employee safety management systems.
- Conduct hazard analysis and provide solutions for safety and compliance issues.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement environmental training tools for facilities.
- Coordinate SHS training and development needs.
- Lead root‑cause investigations for safety, security, and environmental incidents.
- Perform routine facility audits and lead responses to external environmental audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Advanced knowledge of EPA and state regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or 4 years’ experience
- 5+ years of business experience with direct employee management
- 5+ years managing employee safety and health issues or OSHA/DOT knowledge
- Experience with regulatory inspectors
- Advanced PC skills
- Process improvement skills
- IT environment knowledge
Knowledge of environmental laws impacting transportation - Advanced EPA and state regulations knowledge
50% local and purposeful travel.

Compensation InformationPay Type: Salaried
Minimum Pay Range: $100,000
Maximum Pay Range: $110,000
